May 1 Season Kick-Off Party - League Orientation, Member Meeting 5-7 PM Welcome Back Ladies!!!
We'll begin the season with our annual opening-night cocktail party, orientation, and meeting. You will see familiar faces and meet future golf partners at this social event. You will learn about how the league works such as how to sign up for events, how to establish your golf handicap, and other league customs that will make your golf season great! May 8 Individual Stroke Play; Play on Pace: A Time-Awareness Event
Not only does a resasonable pace of play help to improve your game, it also makes the game more fun for you and everyone on the course. Play better and have more fun: Play Faster! We will provide checkpoints on your scorecard and on the course to help you learn to play at a game-improving, fun-enhancing pace.
May 15 Individual Scoring; Hole Contests
Each player will play her own ball and count every single stroke and follow the rules of golf. This will give you a true measure of your improvement throughout the season and will help you to establish an accurate handicap. Players in a group will attest the other players score and post it to your handicap record. In addition, each hole will have a contest:
#1 Shortest Drive #2, #3 Longest Drive #4 Closest in 2 Shots #5 Closest to the Pin #6 Closest to the Lake Without Going In #7 Most Accurate (Closest to the Aiming Pole) #8 Furthest From the Pin But On The Green In 1 Shot #9 Shortest Drive
May 22 Golf & Gamble - Deuces Wild You will recieve cards after each hole based on your net score for that hole. At the end of the round, choose the five cards that make up the best poker hand. Deuces are wild! The best poker hand in the group of players wins! After golf, join us in the Bar & Grill for Texas Hold 'Em hosted by Jerzey, Opie, Lucky, and Dog Boy. These friendly dealers will teach you how to play and bet, share rules and strategy, and generally entertain you all night. May 29 Two-Person Best Ball Each player on a side plays her own ball and the lower of the two scores is counted as the team score. Event will be flighted and full handicaps will be applied.
June 5 Member-Guest Outing
Invite a non-league friend to be your guest for this annual event. Ladies only! The format will be social and for fun only. In addition to the greens fee, each member and guest will receive a unique golf gift for $50 ($25 ea). Traditionally, the member pays the fees for the day, but you can work it out with your guest as you see fit.
June 12 Karma Golf
Karma Golf is back for 2013! Each Karma Team will receive a special Karma Ball at the beginning of the round. Players alternate playing the ball throughout the round, recording the Karma Score on the score card while also keeping an individual score for handicapping purposes. Teams returning the Karma Ball at the end of the round will recieve a special treat. Don't lose the Karma Ball! June 19 4-Club Challenge
Choose your weapons, but only 4 of them! (Putter counts as 1) Keep an individual score and get creative with your shot-making. You'll be surprised how well you do with only 4 clubs! June 26 Individual Stroke Play (Optional $5 Skins)
A standard stroke play event with an optional twist: Skins. If you choose, you can contribute and an extra $5 cash to the skins pot for your chance to win a little extra. Skins is hole by hole betting game where each hole is worth a skin. The skins pot will be divided by flights. Winners will be paid in cash!
July 3 Flag Tournament
For this event each player will receive a flag labeled with their name and course handicap + par (9 or 18). Example, your course handicap for 9 holes is 16. 16 + 36 (par) = 52. When you hit your 52nd shot, you will plant your flag where the ball comes to rest. The goal is to finish the round with your flag in hand. July 10 Beat the Pro
Bring your best game and and try to beat the Pro's scratch score (No Handicap) for 9 or 18. The pot will be split evenly among those succeeding in beating the Pro and bragging rights will be honored for 1 year. July 17 Rally for the Cure - WEAR PINK! (Green Fees + $20 Donation)
This program works to spread awareness about breast health and breast cancer in support of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Their mission is to empower people to join the fight against breast cancer by educating their friends, family, and community on the importance of early detetction through an activity they are passionate about - GOLF! Each participant will be asked to contribute a non-tax deductible entry fee of $20 for a chance to win a grand prize, event favors, breast health information, and a subscription to a select Conde Nast magazine. Other prizes to be announced, including Best Pink Outfit! Our ladies' league has been very generous over the years in supporting this organization. We've all been affected in one way or another, and several of our past and current members are survivors themselves! Be sure to wear pink! July 24 Heaven & Hell
Half the holes will be set up easy (Heaven) and the other half will be set up hard (Hell). Individual scoring will be determine winners. Good Luck!July 31 Whack & Hack
For this event, all four team members play their own ball for four individual scores. Two of those scores are combined to make up the team score on each hole. The two scores that are used are the low ball and the high ball. So if the four players score 4, 5, 6, and 7, the team score is 11 (4 + 7). August 7 Individual Stroke Play
Just play your best and keep an individual score. Event will be flighted by handicap and winners will be paid in golf shop credit. August 14 Golf & Gamble II

Sign up for this event with a partner. Each player will hit a shot, then the best shot will be chosen. Both players hit their next shot from that position. Continue until the ball is holed. August 28 Practice Round for Club Championship
Get a practice round in for next week's event! This event will be scored individually and flighted by handicap. Play and discover your strengths and weakness and where you might spend some practice time in the next week. . September 4 Club Championship
Our annual club championship will crown the winners from each flight. Everyone, despite your percieved ability, is invited to play. A cookout on the patio will follow the event.
September 11 Generously Modified Stableford
In Stableford format, points are awarded on each hole depending on the score's relation to par. Our Stableford Scoring Chart will look like this:
Fixed Score = +2 Relation Points Eagle -2 6 Birdie -1 5 Par even 4 Bogey +1 3 Dbl. Bogey +2 2 Trip. Bogey +3 1 Quad./Worse +4 0 September 18 Individual Stroke Play

A 4-person team of four different abilities will compete in this scramble. Each player will hit and then the best shot will be chosen, then all four players will play from that position. Continue this process until the ball is holed. Other rules will include using one drive from each player per 9 holes.
October 2 Individual Stroke Play
Each player will play her own ball and count every single stroke in accordance with the rules of golf. This will give you a true measure of your improvement throughout the season and help to keep your handicap index accurate. Players in a group will attest the other players score and post it to your handicap record.
October 9 Golf and Member Dinner
Come out for the season's last golfing event (weather permitting) followed by our annual year-end dinner and End-of-Season Awards. Even if you are not playing golf on this day, you are invited to dinner. Pleae RSVP by October 7.
