Short Game 102

2024 Clinic Registration Procedure *NEW*

Due to an unprecedented surge in demand for clinic registrations, we are implementing a lottery system to ensure fairness and alleviate registration issues. Students will now have a two-week window to register for the initial wave of each clinic registration. Unlike previous methods, registration will no longer be determined by who signs up first.

For clinics scheduled in April, May, and June, initial registration will be open from March 1st through March 14th, with the lottery drawing taking place on March 15th. Similarly, for clinics in July, August, and September, registration will run from June 1st through June 14th, with the lottery drawing occurring on June 15th.

Participants selected via the random draw lottery will receive an exclusive registration link via email on either March 15th or June 15th, depending on the registration date for their respective clinic. We believe this approach will create a more equitable registration process and mitigate previous challenges.

Once the respective lotteries have concluded, any remiaining unfilled clinics will be opened for general registration

Registration Lottery will be open March 1st-14th for all April, May, and June Clinics

Registration Lottery will be open June 1st-14th for all July, August, and September Clinics

5 Sessions (90-minutes per session)

Do you find that your scoring is hindered by a less-than-stellar short game? Have you taken Intro to Golf and are ready to begin scoring lower? Short Game 102 is the clinic for you! This five-session clinic covers all aspects of the short game, chipping, pitching, approach wedges, putting, and sand play. This clinic teaches you the best approach for each of these shots and provides you a structure to make your practice sessions more effective. Several of the sessions will include on-the-course practical application experience, when possible. Working on your scoring clubs (putter and wedges) is the best way to make the game more enjoyable by lowering your frustration around the green.

  • Session I: Putting. Grip, stance, posture, and alignment for sound putter technique. Drills for distance and direction control.
  • Session II: Chipping and pitching. Firm basic technique for chipping and pitching within 20 yards of the green. Know when to use which technique.
  • Session III: Distance wedges. The graduated finesse swing technique of knowing how to hit approach shots from inside 60 yards.
  • Session IV: Sand. How to hit soft, high shots from a greenside bunker. Learn how to develop distance control.
  • Session V: Skills challenges and evaluation. Continued work on the aspects of the short game that are the most problematic for the players in the clinic.

Five 90-minute sessions for $149

6:1 student to instructor ratio

*Registration for lottery does not guarantee entry into that clinic.

You will be contacted via email if your registration is accepted and confirmed.
